Yelp names LGBTQ-owned businesses “Ones to Watch” to celebrate Pride

In celebration of last year’s Pride, Yelp introduced the LGBTQ-owned business attribute to help people support LGBTQ entrepreneurs in their local communities across the country. This year, we’ve compiled a list of beloved LGBTQ-owned “Ones to Watch” businesses found on Yelp across categories like food, beauty and home to support today and all year round. Starting June 1, you can also use Yelp to find inclusive places to celebrate Pride. Rainbow map pins will appear for businesses for any LGBTQ-owned or Open To All search.

Earlier this year, Yelp joined more than 150 businesses as part of the Human Rights Campaign to condemn anti-LGBTQ legislation in Florida and across the U.S., and joined the HRC and 60+ companies as a signatory in a full page ad in the Dallas Morning News, condemning the anti-trans policy in Texas. During this challenging time, Pride month, a moment of celebration for the LGBTQ community and their allies, may feel different for many. Supporting LGBTQ creators, artists and entrepreneurs is a great way to directly impact individuals in your local community and uplift queer voices.

“As part of our celebrations of Pride Month, we’ve compiled a list of amazing LGBTQ-owned businesses across the U.S., spanning categories like food, beauty, home, wellness and entertainment,” says Tara Lewis, Yelp Trend Expert. “Whether you’re looking for vintage treasures to update your wardrobe or home, a serene spa for your next vacation, or your new favorite eatery to indulge in, you can find great LGBTQ-owned businesses on Yelp to support this month and year-round.”
