I’m excited to announce the names of nearly 200 local nonprofits that are this year’s winners of Yelp Foundation Gives Local grants! In total, the Yelp Foundation will contribute $640,000 toward 192 local nonprofit organizations, with grants of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 going to each of three winners in 64 cities nationwide. See the full list below and at yfgiveslocal.org, and spot grant winners by looking for this official badge.
The Yelp Foundation Gives Local contest drew more than 180,000 votes from Yelp users and lots of support from voters and nonprofits on social media with #YFGivesLocal. To date, the Yelp Foundation has donated more than $4 million to charity through the Yelp Foundation Gives Local grant contest and Yelp employee donation-matching. Learn more about the Yelp Foundation at yelpfoundation.org.
Thanks to everyone who voted in this year’s contest. I can’t wait to see what each of these worthy nonprofits is able to accomplish with their grants in the coming year!
