On Tuesday, 100 Yelp Elites—along with their lucky plus ones—attended an epic Yogurt + Cider Pairing with Ellenos Yogurt and Locust Cider. As one of Yelp Eastside’s first in-person events in nearly a year, Locust’s Woodinville taproom was full of excitement! And our amazing Yelp community? Just as cool as we remembered.
The Yelp Elite Event started at 6pm, when Elites were treated to a generous six-pour tasting from the Locust taplist. Then, they headed to the Ellenos table for six delicious samples. You didn’t think cider and yogurt sounded like a good idea? Well, we beg to differ—it was delicious!
Which yogurt & cider pairings did we try?
Here’s a rundown of the pairings Elites got to sample. Head to Locust (grab yourself some Ellenos on the way) to give ‘em a try to let us know what you think.

About Locust Cider & Ellenos Yogurt
Locust Cider, founded in Woodinville in 2015, specializes in nurturing unique apple varieties to create fantastic dry ciders at their locations throughout Washington State (and beyond). They also love creating special cider flavor combinations. In fact, they’ll try just about anything as long as it uses natural ingredients. And wow, were we impressed.
Seattle-based Ellenos Yogurt, which opened its first location at Pike Place Market in 2013, was founded when Yvonne, a US-based flight attendant, discovered father-and-son team Con and Alex Apostolopoulos making traditional Greek yogurt in Australia. She was hooked after just one spoonful, and eventually hatched a plan to bring them to Seattle. The rest, as they say, is yogurt history.
What’s a Yelp Elite Event?
Yelp Elite Events are a fun way for our active community of local Yelp Elite Squad members to gather together and experience a new business, meet the business owners, and spread the word on Yelp and social media. Shoutout to Seattle-based Emilie B for her amazing photos capturing all the fun of the evening!
