Throughout the month of May, Yelp Seattle Eastside put together a campaign called “Yelp’s Winery Adventure” which was aimed at hosting events at local wineries to bring the Elite community to the heart of Woodinville Wine Country. Over the month, there was a kickoff weekend in a destination town two hours away, as well as four local events in the Woodinville area.
To kick off Yelp’s Winery Adventure, fifty Elites from Seattle Eastside took over the town of Leavenworth, WA. Sticking to all things wine, the first of three Elite Events over the weekend took place at Milbrandt Vineyards. Elites were treated to welcome pours of rose, as well as five tasting tickets. Bites were provided by Cured by Visconti’s while the Elites and their plus ones enjoyed a bingo style game.
Following the Elite Event at Milbrandt Vineyards, Rhein Haus Leavenworth hosted all Elites and their guests for a true Bavarian style dinner (including beer, of course) to wrap up day one in Leavenworth. Day two took the Elites to a classy mid day meal at Visconti’s where the Elites were treated to prosecco and appetizers.
Yelp Seattle Eastside partnered up with NW Comfy Cabins to bring them on board to the kickoff weekend as the official partner and sponsor. NW Comfy Cabins provided 9 cabins, all but one including it’s own private hot tub, to house half of the Elites for the entirety of the getaway weekend.
Returning back to the Eastside, four more local events followed the kickoff weekend in Leavenworth. The first was hosted at Cepae in downtown Bellevue. Cepae provided the Elites with an open wine bar and small, modernized French-style bites in an aesthetically pleasing environment.
In more of a class-based style event, the second event in the Eastside was held at Tinte Cellars. Tinte Cellars was a new winery on the scene, so lots of Yelpers were interested in being introduced to a new kid on the block. Tinte Cellars treated the Eastside Elites to a guided chocolate and wine pairing, and rounded out the evening with a fun photo booth with a photographer on-site.
The third Yelp’s Winery Adventure event in the Eastside took place at Delille Cellars Carriage House, a quaint and characteristic tasting room featuring two outdoor tasting areas. The Elites were given the members club tasting patio to take over. In a “taste around” format, the Elites ventured from station to station to try different types of wine. They were even given the opportunity to sample wine straight from the barrel that had not yet been bottled and will not be released to the public until December 2 of this year.
To wrap up Yelp’s Winery Adventure, the final Elite Event was hosted at Goose Ridge. Elites had free reign over the entire tasting room and outdoor patio. It was a sunny, warm day in the Eastside which fit this event perfectly as there was a live musician on the patio for the Elites to enjoy with their wine and cider tastings. All Elites went home with Goose Ridge swag bags including various merch items from the winery, ranging from popsockets to plastic can covers.
A huge thank you goes out to all of our partners for helping Yelp’s Winery Adventure a hit. If you’re ever in the Woodinville, WA area, be sure to reference this event guide for recommendations on where to do your wine sippin’.
