Yelp’s Tequila Takedown at Reposado

One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, Yelp! Last Thursday Reposado Bar was overflowing with Elite Yelpers looking to wet their whistle on the Ossington Strip! The theme was Decidedly Southerern (with a twist of lime) and Yelpers definitely dressed the part. Noel D couldn't get enough of "the never-ending amount of hot girls in plaid shirts." ¡Caliente!

For tequila-totaling Torontonians Reposado is the spot to tickle your tastebuds. (Try saying that after a few shots.) Hana B had her shot glass at the ready. "I love, love, love Reposado, especially their patio in the summer to catch up with friends and grab a drink or two." The long and narrow space was perfect for yelpers to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones.

Of course, a few cocktails can't hurt the mingling. "It may be a small venue," noticed Nikki C, "but this tiny place packs a mean punch — and serves up a damn fine margarita!" Tequila was the talk of the evening. Elites were sweet on the sour Reposado Margarita with Hornitos Tequila and fresh lime juice. For Lauren M the "Paloma was my fave: Sauza tequila, grapefruit soda with a splash of lime. Yes please!" Meanwhile Jon O "spent most of my time on the Tres Generaciones tequila (neat, of course)" the natural choice for a 'quila connoisseur.

And for the tequila-timid (you had a bad experience in college, we know…) Steam Whistle Beer was there to save the day. Cheers!

As usual, yelpy shenanigans went down at Paul Hillier's photobooth. There were moustaches, sombreros and a piñata that had Lilliane G's empathy. "The poor piñata – probably best that it had been destroyed, otherwise it would be in therapy." Who can resist the lure of a pink unicorn?

Capping off the event was an amazing appearance by house band The Reposadists, and Elites got a free CD for checking in early. Hilary S is their newest fan:  "Did anyone listen to the CD yet? Because it's eargasmic."
