The last week has been a celebration of the phenomenal craft beer scene in Broward-Palm Beach with Yelp’s Local Beer Week! Memebers of the community were offered 50% off on flights at 9 breweries including: Funky Buddha Brewery (Oakland Park), SaltWater Brewery (Delray Beach), Bangin’ Banjo Brewing Company (Pompano Beach), LauderAle (Fort Lauderdale), Devour Brewing Company (Boynton Beach), The Mack House (Davie), 26 Degree Brewing Company (Pompano Beach), Copperpoint Brewing Company (Boynton Beach), Barrel Of Monks Brewing (Boca Raton).
On top of all the discounts, there were also 4 very unique events that helped Yelpers see beer in a different way. The week kicked off with a BEERunch (beer brunch) featuring beers from Bangin’ Banjo Brewing Company and doughnuts from Rhino Doughnuts. Then they were off to school, with an educational beer class courtesy of brewer Adam Fine from Craft Beer Cartel (while guests sipped on Founders brews and noshed on bites from Riverside Market). You might of heard about wine and cheese pairings, but up next Yelpers were treated to a delicious beer and cheese pairing at LauderAle with cheeses from Whole Foods Market. The promotion closed out the only fitting way – with dessert! A dessert and beer pairing was held at Riverside Market South with bites from Bob Roth’s New River Grove and beer floats from Funky Buddha Brewery!
