Tampa Bay Yelp Elites have now been re-united with with their former love, Elite Events! It was a modern day Romeo & Juliet, minus all the tragedy.
Samurai Blue Sushi & Sake Bar's high ceilings were representative of the expectations they have created for future Yelp Elite Events in Tampa Bay. Coty S gushed, "There have been many Yelp Elite Events in various cities that I have walked into and stumbled out of in my time, but this event Yakuza'd them all!"
Gushing was the theme of the Konnichiwa Tampa Bay Elite Event. Carlos H continued the trend; "I was expecting to be able to order a dish or two and have maybe a few drinks, but I was completely blown away by the amazing menu we were spoiled with at this dinner." Michelle M shouted from the mountain tops, "Wow, wow, wow! Why weren't we charged for this event?!" Chet L wasn't shy with the compliments either; "Mucho thanks also go out to Rosa (owner of Samurai Blue) for hosting the event and allowing us to enjoy what seemed like an endless amount of free drinks and free sushi."
"And the food?! The food! It was never ending and amazing," affirmed Meghann A. "My favorite was the filet mignon and bok choy. Surprising coming from a sushi restaurant, but the steak was perfectly medium and cut like butter. Delicious." Harry D landed a new favorite in the Blue Moon roll; "lump blue crab, cream cheese, asparagus, and scallions served tempura style with a custom eel sauce. Words elude me, it was an out of body experience and now I know what a crack addict feels like, it was crazy good! I'm already having withdrawls."
Samurai Blue has been my favorite restaurant in the Bay Area as evidenced by the fact that I list them as my last meal on Earth on my Yelp profile. So how could my opinion ever be raised of such an establishment? Last night, these questions were answered in the form of what could only be constituted as a religious experience. The saying "above and beyond" does not do justice to the treatment that Yelp received at this elite event. Samurai Blue deserves a plaque in the Yelp Hall of Fame.
