On February 26, 2019, the Yelp Seattle Eastside market officially turned one! In order to celebrate, the community partied a few days early and celebrated Yelp’s First Burstday on February 23, 2019 at Lord Hill Farms.
The event was made up of attendees from Yelp Seattle Eastside, as well as some guests from Yelp Seattle proper, the two being sister cities just a hop, skip, and a jump away from each other. The event was also open to RSVP for non-Elite members of the community that got to join in on the fun, too!
Yelp’s First Burstday partnered up with Lord Hill Farms to bring the Yelpers a gorgeous event venue all in the name of having fun and supporting a great cause — the Hungry Hearts Foundation. The community was able to generously raise enough money to ensure 167 children would be fed.
In true birthday party fashion, the sweets were plentiful, the food was delicious, boozy drinks were flowing, and the entertainment raged on!
Lord Hill Farms provided all of the savory bites, including a tower of a cheese table and passed heavy appetizers. According to the five star event reviews, the mashed potatoes with short rib and mac n’ cheese really stole the show!
Triplehorn Brewing, Grey Hawk Brewing, Seattle UnCorked, Precept Wine, and Schilling Cider made sure we were always ready with a drink to toast. Yelpers were able to try full-sized beers from Triplehorn, as well as Grey Hawk, and of course were treated to generous servings of cider from Schilling. For those who are more into wine, Seattle UnCorked was there to serve several different samples of wine. Precept Wine was also there to pour different selections from House Wine, Gruet Winery, and Browne Family Vineyards. Not into drinking? No problem! Our friends from Sparkling Ice and Woods Coffee were there to keep the rest of the Yelpers with something tasty to sip on.
Hollywood Baked Goods was on point with Fruity Pebble Rice Krispies, melt-in-your-mouth snickerdoodles, and more. Macadons was there with macarons with several different flavors that knocked the socks off of tons of guests. New York Cupcakes showed up with enough to feed an army, providing cake pops, macarons, and of course, cupcakes. Nothing Bundt Cakes was also a fan favorite, providing an assortment of different bundt cakes in various sizes and flavors.
But, that’s not all.
The Yelpers were lucky enough to dance the night away and meet the ever-so-confident Tiger Budbill of CatDaddy Entertainment. They also got to try a whole new world with Portal Virtual Reality by playing Beat Saber. A few Yelpers who took the high scores walked away with $100 gift cards!
Gabby Smiley Face Painting was also celebrating with us by giving the Yelpers fun and whimsical birthday party-style face painting. Who says only kids can do it?
The Fancy Cat Studio was there to create custom calligraphy phrases and names, so nobody left empty handed! And one of the night’s favorites was the Snapbar, who provided a custom photo booth for the Yelpers to strike a pose, do it for the ‘Gram, and get the pics sent to them right then and there.

A massive thank you goes out to Lord Hill Farms, the Hungry Hearts Foundation, and all of the vendors for participating in the event and helping us celebrate Yelp Seattle Eastside’s First Burstday.
