‘Twas 2 weeks before Christmas and from Glenelg to Belair,
Not a local was stirring, no hipster nor square.
“Shop Local this Christmas!” shopkeepers implored,
“we’ve got unique SA gifts that can’t be ignored”.
Yelp heard the call and rallied the troops,
With gift ideas and festive specials to boot.
East End Adelaide created a list and checked it twice,
Of their top 4 boutiques to shop in for the naughty and nice!
From learning how to make a seasonal Christmas cheese platter with East End Providore to the difference between a Rwandan and Brazilian coffee at Exchange Specialty Coffee, Yelpers got a taste of the boutiques that make the East End unique.
The speed shopping continued as Yelp Elite went onto exploring some of Rundle St's high end fashion in SABA and Morrison over wine. Yelpers learnt of the season's trends from light floaty dresses to linen men's shirts and boating shoes and was able to take advantage of some of the VIP sales on the night!
Final favourite stop of the evening was East End Cellars, a family owned business that specialises in quaffing and quality wines at ridiculously good prices. After sampling the season's range of whites, reds and sticky's Yelpers were all tuckered and shopped out!
This "taste-bud tingling, fashion focussed, educational, inspiring and fun event," had Sam T trying coffee for the first time in her life and helped Louise L to "discover new places, and a little of the history of the East End, in my new home town."
