Last weekend, our most veteran Yelp Elite Squad (YES!) members braved the snow for an epic staycation experience at Isle Casino Hotel Black Hawk. From luxury suites and a surf & turf dinner from Roxy Restaurant, to a blackjack tournament and boozy brunch from Farmer’s Pick Buffet the following morning, this made more the most over-the-top Denver Elite Event of 2019.
As soon as guests arrived at the Isle Casino Hotel Black Hawk, they were greeted promptly in the lobby and were given the keys to their luxury suite. The newly renovated rooms (with snow-capped mountain views) came fully equipped with all the amenities one would hope for. The addition of a gift basket filled with locally-sourced snacks and a note from the Vice President of the property were an added bonus!
After guests freshened up and settled in, they made their way to Roxy Restaurant & Bar for a welcome happy hour. In the restaurant’s private room, they were greeted with Mini Crab Cakes, Signature Mushroom Raviolis and Shoestring Potatoes—and of course, any drink of their choice—including one of the bar’s signature 52 martini varietals! Guests continued to mingle and get comfortable before heading to the dining room for their main meal.
Guests were treated to a marvelous four-course surf & turf dinner. Starters included the Spanish Platter, with assorted meats, cheeses, marinated olives and specialty breads. Following the Caesar Salad, the main event arrived at the table—a 6 oz. Filet Mignon, Shrimp Scampi, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Sauteed Broccolini. Yelpers praised the execution of the Filet, which was cooked to perfection and cut like butter. The meal concluded with their Roxy Chocolate Cake and their line of signature Ferrari-Carano wines.
Although, the evening would have been a massive success if we stopped right there, we didn’t. The Isle Casino pulled out the red carpet and introduced Yelpers to the casino floor with a funny money blackjack tournament. Even though they played with funny money, they duked it out for bragging rights and a $100 gift certificate to Roxy Restaurant & Bar, to which Sarah H. took home the gold!

After the blackjack tournament concluded, guests went off on their own—to gamble, to roam, to party, etc. One of the standout elements of this experience was the ability for Yelpers to tour the property on their own accord and partake in whatever tickled their fancy.
After a long night we met up the following morning at Farmer’s Pick Buffet for a boozy brunch send off. The massive buffet included just about every breakfast and lunch item one could think of—including a Made-To-Order Omelette Station, Ribeye Carving Station, Fried Chicken, Biscuits & Gravy, Cupcakes, Mimosas, etc. It was excess on top of excess, and it’s exactly what the doctor ordered after an epic evening.
