It may have been too blustery and cool for hot air balloons, but the conditions didn't stop Yelp Albuquerque Elites from getting a sneak peek of the Balloon Fiesta festivities, while stuffing their faces with local eats. Nobody left Yelp's Balloon Swoon hungry. Promise.
What a gorge-fest! Opening snacks and beverages were provided by Ned's, and from there the group went on a tour of some of the best local places to grab a bite while the field takes flight. First stop, Mario's, love those slices of pizza. Sadie's was next, breakfast burritos and Cinnabon nuggets of gooey, sugary goodness, and let's not forget the inspired chile relleno corn dog (you read that right). Perico's had two varieties of wraps to check out, Hello Deli brought along samples of hummus and tahini with dips, and then there was more pizza with Roadrunner, and just when we were ready to pop… Blake's Lotaburger. Full green chile cheeseburgers, seriously.
All of this was washed down back at the Media tent, several varieties of beer & wine. Divine. The 5-star reviews are still coming in. We want to thank the Garrity Group for putting this night of delights together, and give a quick shout-out to a bevy of new Elites who made the event even more enjoyable. The Balloon Fiesta launched in style!
Until next time,
