With over 1,100 expected guests, there was no cooler place to be this past Saturday night than the Seattle Design Center. This spacious venue hosted Seattle's biggest Yelp event to date! With live bands, a mechanical bull, a DJ, aerial acts, stiltwalkers, and more, it was certainly an event to remember. In fact, with a total of 4 photobooths, it'd be hard to forget! Best of all, all money raised at the event through donations and dollar beers went to Seattle's rockinest NPO, The World Is Fun. With over $2000 raised, it was certainly a party to be proud of.

Designed to connect local yelpers to fun adrenaline-inducing activities around town, there was no shortage of fun to be had. Alki Kayak Tours and Mountain To Sound Outfitters brought out a paddleboard to teach dry-land lessons. Folks who tested the equipment were offered passes and coupons to check out the real deal at a later date. iFLY Seattle talked up indoor skydiving techniques while Sky High Sports played games on mini-trampolines. And if that's not enough, Market Ghost Tours spooked Seattleites while The Cabiri danced and twirled above our heads! Not limited to just aerial performances, they also provided a stiltwalker to walk among the crowds of people in line for tricks and treats.
Waiting for a free caricature drawing from Over The Line Productions was totally worth it as guests were treated to a special portait of themselves at the party to take home as a souvenir. Adventure seekers sought even more opportunities from Evergreen Escapes and Z-Ultimate Self Defense Studios. And Games2U provided a 4D theater and gaming experience for folks waiting in line to get in. But that's not all! They also provided a 12ft monitor on which guests could play XBoX Kinnect, as well as a giant man-powered robot who rolled around the event greeting gaggles of guests. The ever clever ClownsUnlimited practically stole the show with a massive mechanical bull, a photobooth, unlimitedsoft-serve ice cream and ping pong tables to play with.

As we mentioned, there were a total of 4 opportunities to get your photo snapped. Qdoba not only served up guac at a do-it-yourself guac bar, they took some super silly pics of guests with props like mustaches, sombreros, and maracas. Props weren't limited to the Qdoba booth, though. David Wentworth and Heathoriginal hosted a fabulous and fun booth with props of their own. Goofy glasses, big bow-ties and manly mustaches made for some of the parties prettiest pics! But what's that? You didn't get a snapsot of the Panda?! Courtesy of Soul'd Out Events, DJ Marty McIntyre dawned a badass bear suit while spinning records and taking photos with friends and fans.

If you managed to make it to the Atrium you couldn't escape the rockin' rhythms of Irukandji Physics of Fusion! Sharing the stage, the band took a break to allow for Seattle's funny and fabulous Jet City Improv troupe from Wing It Productions.
Our favorite eco-friendly friends at Frogbox provided some wacky entertainment as well. Fans of iPhone app, Angry Birds got to play a real live game and knock birds off boxes! And our non-profit buds TWIF hosted a cardboard tube competition. Battling it out, guests were able to (card)board fight with one another for a chance to win TWIF buttons and stickers.

But what's a party without food? A special thanks to the folks from: The Triple Door, On Safari Foods, Pampeana Empanadas, Jodee's Desserts, Lynnae's Gourmet Pickles, Intrigue Chocolates, Qdoba, Zing Bars, Kind Snacks, PoPchips, Molly's Salads & Sandwiches, and La Isla Puerto Rican Cuisine. Bellies were a burstin' after this shindig!

Washing it down free non-alcohilic options included: FIJI Water, DRY Soda, Honest Tea, and Zevia. And for just a $1 donation to The World Is Fun, guests were treated to Ninkasi Beer, Emerald City Beer, brews from Odin Brewing, Sky River Mead, Crispin Cider, and even 509 Wines!

A special thanks to Nityia Design for photographing the event, Soul'd Out Events, DJ panda Marty McIntyre, Games2U, and Clowns Unlimited.
