Ding ding ding!
On Wedensday, July 13, 2010, over 100 of Portland’s Yelp Elite took to center ring for a happy hour restaurant preview of championship proportions at Yelp’s Heavyweight Happy Hour at Ringside Fish House! It was Ringside Fish House’s first ever happy hour service, and Yelp Elites got the exclusive VIP invite to come enjoy food and drink before anyone else in Ringside’s new bar. It was more than a friendly bout, and everyone came out #winning!
The doors of Ringside Fish House’s bar opened for the first time at 4pm on Wednesday July 13th, and Portland’s Elite were ready to pour in and sip on incredible cocktails made with Maker’s Mark Bourbon like the Maker’s Manhattan (classic recipe) and Kentucky Driver (Maker’s, OJ, brown sugar simple syrup on the rocks). For those favoring hops, Lompoc did it up right with their C-Note Imperial IPA and Kick Axe dry-hopped pale ale (a tribute to the Timbers). There were no thirsty folks in the house.
Hungry Yelpers snacked on complimentary items from Ringside’s legendary happy hour such as steak bites, Caesar salad, Ahi-tuna bacon burger, crab cake sandwich, oysters on the ½ shell, andoullie sausage jambalaya, shrimp rolls and many, many more options. With seated table service and rockin’ bartenders, Yelpers were waited on hand and foot. It was three hours of happy hour hangin’, and an amazing chance to get a sneak peek of what is sure to be downtown PDX’s new hot spot.
A huge thanks go out to Gregg and the amazing staff at Ringside Fish House, Chris and the folks at Lompoc Brewing, Cody and Rick from Maker’s Mark, Matt D for working the door, and you… the most amazing Yelp Elite Squad a Community Manager could ever ask for. It wouldn’t have been possible without you!
Until next time… SYOY!
