YelpCon 2 was indeed Bigger and Yelpier as promised. Guests were welcomed with our biggest Yelp SHWAG table yet and then partied from one themed room to the next. We had a Tito’s Tasting Room, where guests learned about the creation of a variety of spooky cocktails featuring Tito’s Vodka. They could then make their way to the Silent Disco room courtesy of Holy City Hospitality, where dancing like no one is watching is not optional. If their costumes needed a little touch up, they could head to the Treat Yo’ Self room, featuring mermaid scales from Mermaid Magic, fleeky lashes from Carolina Eye Candy, make up touch-ups from Aillea, and hair touch ups from Largo Salon.
Finally, in the main room, we had DJ Angel Maldonado keeping the party going and a variety of food and drinks from local vendors. Crystal Guysir and her fellow drag queens brought the party with an electric performance. The drag show was followed by the costume contest. It was a stiff competition, but in the end, the Sand People were victorious. By the end of the night, we raised over $6500 for our charity: We Are Family and over 500 guests attended. Thanks again to Victorious Photography and Linwood Yarborough for being our official photographers! To learn more about YelpCon 2, check out the reviews and photos.
