Catching the "Orient Express" last night, Vancouver's Yelp Elite and their guests were dumpling-ed on at Wild Rice.
Spotted prawn toast, Sloping Hills Pork Sui Mai, vegan "bacon," mini vegetarian curry dumplings and more danced across our lips. We learned how to pair our Asian dishes with Gray Monk's Pinot Auxerrois. At the bar Banff Ice made refreshing passionfruit and ginger collins and Whistler Brewery's Export Lager hit the summer heat spot. Simon K sums it up best, "Coming from a first timer, I did not know what to expect, but the food, it just kept coming. Plate after plate, plenty of people, and food to go around."
Meanwhile upstairs, JMB Photography 's Photobooth had yelpers bonking (inflatable mallets, of course), fanning, taping and dressing up in Hello Kitty style in front of a background hand crafted by our yelpy intern, Tania Y.
