Yelp is Ultra Cool with Pantone’s Color of the Year: Ultra Violet

In case you missed it, last week Pantone announced the 2018 Color of the Year – Ultra Violet – penning that the purple shade “communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us towards the future.”

So we thought what better way to celebrate this news than sharing the most stellar and “visionary” ultra violet foods and purple you can find on Yelp?

Hint: There isn’t a better way….

Ube Donut Ice Cream Sandwich from Friendly Donuts

Looking for a unique sweet treat? Well, in Southern California, you can find this prime purple pastry/ice cream combo any time of year. An ube donut cut in half and served with ube ice cream in the middle that Yelper’s describe as “perfect in flavor.” Enough to make your mouth water.

Indianapolis, IN

A concoction to satisfy any purple cravings, this dessert has Yelpers in Indy RAVING, calling it “delicious,” “amazing” and “bizarre.” The secret recipe includes ovaltine ice cream, flan, snickers, fruity pebbles, lemongrass milk, marshmallow fluff and lots of chocolate…sounds heavenly, doesn’t it?

San Antonio, TX

Hole-y purple goodness! Panifico in San Antonio has wow’d Yelpers with this stellar galaxy-themed treat. Yelper Raven H. says they’re “in short, fantastic. Literally no complaints and the galaxy donuts may be some of the best I’ve had anywhere.” OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD.
