Once again, the Yelp Dallas Elite never cease to amaze us with their bombastic party skills. 110 degree heat on a Monday night didn't keep the elites away from sneaking into the most secretive speak easy in town dressed in their flapper finest, zoot suiting style, and Gatsby best.
Guests were first greeted by the tough-talking mobster guard, Sal (short for Salvatore), who was doing his duty of protecting the hooch! And hooch there was! With plenty of spirits to go around thanks to Veev Vodka, Milagro Tequila, UFO Hefeweizen, Firefly Vodka, and the house Cabernet the party was a roaring success. Kristie A gets it right when she claims, "The bartenders were working their booties off getting out drinks to everyone, and there was such a great selection to choose from. Liquors, beers, wines, oh my. All the concoctions were great. My fav probably being the basil gimlet." Indeed, the Basil Gimlets were flowing like moonshine back in the day.
The Neapolitan style pizza was abundant and enjoyed by all! If the guests weren't already enjoying the lovely, Swing tunes provided by the beautiful, blonde broad, Dana Carlson and her smooth-talking piano player sidekick, Matt Tolentino – they were socializing and imbibing in line for more yummy bites from Napoli or refreshing elixirs provided by Veev and Milagro.
Mandy H, oh excuse us, Daisy Buchanan from the Great Gatsby, took the theme by storm and donned her own '20s hat she specifically crafted for the event! Kudos, Daisy! But, "call her impressed by the mobster guarding the door – awesome job, man! The jazz duo were spot on – she even danced the Charlseton dance!"
A huge Yelp Elite thanks to Neo Pizza Napoletana for graciously hosting the Dallas Elites with delectable pizza, amazing beverages, and a beautiful space. This was certainly a memorable event that took us back in time to those speak easy days. To learn more about the rocking times check out the event listing or check out the pics here!
