On April 27th, a lucky group of Yelp elites were treated to an amazing evening of food & libations at Flores on Union St. Here’s what some of them had to say, “The food at Flores was spot on, especially the Carnitas dish was the highlight by far. Crispy on the outside yet so so succulent and flavorful on the inside. The drinks were well crafted and actually the most impressive thing was the service. The waiter was extremely on point with the food, utensils, plates, water, and cleaning up.”
Located next door to Belga, on one of Union Street’s busiest blocks, is Flores–a fun Mexican restaurant serving delicious cocktails, dinner and brunch. At Flores, traditional Mexican dishes and flavors, sourced from family recipes that originated in Mexican states from The Gulf, to The Pacific, are not only the inspiration-they’ll be the rule. Committed to honoring Mexican tradition, theirs is a San Francisco-based Mexican restaurant, thought about in a different way.
The star ingredient is masa–the dough used in making the fresh corn tortillas found on our menu. At Flores, we make our corn tortillas by hand daily using fresh masa.
