On Tuesday night, the Brooklyn Yelp community boarded the one-of-a-kind luxury yacht, The Zephyr, for a birthday bash that none of us will soon forget. A decade in the making, this cocktail cruise sponsored by Campari America was a celebration of 10 years of connecting people with great local businesses, and we hear it was a fête worthy of that achievement. Reggie M claims, "While cruising the Hudson River on board the ZEPHYR, sipping on a glass of whiskey overlooking the gorgeous Manhattan skyline, I thought to myself, WOW this is the best Yelp party I have ever attended." After all, you know it's a good party when it ends with a boat-wide conga line in front of the NYC skyline.
Check out the reviews, peep the awesome photos, and read on below for more details on this bangin' birthday party!
A Huge Thanks To Our Sponsors
The Zephyr • Wild Turkey Bourbon • Espolon Tequila • SKYY Vodka • Sixpoint Brewery • Tchoup Shop • Robicelli's • Rosamunde Sausage Grill • Super Wings NY

Upon entering the yacht, yelpers were treated to a few awesome eats. The stand out for Donna A was "the succotash and shrimp salad from Tchoup Shop. Such a simple salad packed with some serious flavor." Check them out over at Heavy Woods! On the other side, sausages from Rosamunde Sausage Grill abounded. They lived up to the hype of their great reviews for Denise C: "The cheddar brat was juicy and well-seasoned, and the accoutrements were just as fabulous."

On the second deck, Super Wings NY was killing it with…what else? Wings! Colette & Co. brought out their signature ginger buff flavor, and Ingrid S swears they were "amazing. Very meaty and slightly spicy and also perfectly accompanied with the spicy pineapple and spinach bites and all of their sauces." For a perfect dessert, Robicelli's brought out their sea salt brownies. This Bay Ridge bakery does so many things well, but Joanna N insists the brownies are "absolutely divine and so dangerous."

Of course, you can't kick off a cocktail cruise without some booze/brews! Since nothing is better than Sixpoint in the sunshine, a big thanks goes out to them for supplying three of their amazing optiions. Cynthia P was especially pumped about the Bengali Tiger, and promises she "didn't overindulge…too much."

On the stiffer side, Campari America was there for us with copious amounts of their delicious spirits. For research purposes, Maeve O tried all three cocktails and found "they were all delicious, ALL STRONG (especially the buck which was like 50% bourbon) but my favorite was the SKYY Collins." Julia B was "happy as pie to see a Paloma" with Espolon Tequila on the menu, and since the Wild Turkey was kickin', Jerry C is now "getting accustomed to drinking (good) bourbon!"

All of this food and drink fabulousness would've been nothing without the beautiful boat to be on. As Ebony C says, "The ZEPHYR is the yacht you want your party to be on! Three levels of fun and scenery…can't ask for much more." With a photobooth, caricaturists, magicians, and such an amazing crowd of New York City yelpers, it was a good time. The DJs were spinning good tunes non-stop too, so it's a good thing that "yelpers are a fearless crowd. Not afraid to cut a rug and start a Conga line. Yolo even when dolo." That's Jonique H's "type of party."

An extra huge thanks to Nancy, Jen, and all the amazing folks at Circle Line Downtown that made this event possible. And of course, thanks to everyone who made it out to celebrate a decade of Yelp with us; we hope to catch you soon!

Cheers,
Peter D & The Yelp NYC Team
