Yelp’s Final Destination at Ashe Cultural Arts Center was the best way to close out Yelp’s Passport To The Boulevard, a week of events on and off Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard promoting the growth in this neighborhood. Two hundred-plus Yelpers were able to help raise funds for Efforts of Grace, Ashe’s non-profit, that has been supporting this neighborhood since 1993.
The night kicked off with MC Hollywood welcoming guests, and introducing a night of continuous live entertainment including Silhouette Dance Ensemble, Synergy Dance Productions, KM Dance Project, fashions by Diaspora and Charlie Boy, Bookoo Rueda, and the amazing Bamboula 2000; all curated by the amazing staff at Ashe.
Between enjoying performances and dancing, yelpers were able to enjoy tasty bites from restaurants around New Orleans including Food Drunk NOLA, Royal House Restaurant and Oyster Bar, Dolce Vita Pizzeria, Bakers Dozen, and Zea’s Restaurant with local libations from Donner-Peltier, Bayou Rum, and Bizou Wines as well as Deep Eddy Vodka and Barefoot Wine. A touch of local art and design was provided by Red Bull, that also brought local DJ Tony Skratchere to bring the beat between acts. And the ladies of Magnolia Makeup made everyone kissably cute with their lip and lash bar!
Guests raised $2,000+ for Efforts of Grace and a handful of them took home fun prizes from the Audubon Institute, Destination Kitchen, Southern Food & Beverage Museum, Q&C Hotel/Bar, and Locally Preserved!
Thank You To All of Our Sponsors Mentioned Above For Making This Party Memorable!
