Here in Milwaukee, we don't burn bridges. We adhere to those Midwestern values. We're courteous, friendly, and thoughtful. We'll smile at you on the street. We'll share a brew and some conversation with you at our favorite corner watering hole. We pick up trash on the street. We pet strangers' puppies. So we don't burn bridges here in MKE… unless you're talking less about the metaphorical and more about the literal. THEN we do. We roll out the frickin' barrel.
Yelp Milwaukee's most recent elite event — Yelp's Bridge Burner! — was definitely one for the books.
So why a bridge burner, then?
Because this event was a 2-4-1, with two fantastic venues playing host to elite Yelpers! Most importantly, our bridge burner featured a real-life keg roll over Beerline B's neighborhood marsupial bridge. Fun doesn't quite sum it up!

We started the evening off at Lakefront Brewery, perhaps Milwaukee's most well-known and loved craft brewery. So what exactly do you get when when you throw together a fantastic and generous (free) beer sampling with live music (courtesy of Texas Dave and Rhode Island Red), a mini-tour of the brewery itself (courtesy of Jim Klisch), piles upon piles of toys, and an icebreaker that included questions such as: "What's your favorite color? And do you own a gun?" and "If you had to cook a raccoon, how would you prepare it?" in an amazing setting?
You get a magical sort of awesome, friends.

Wheat Monkey, Fixed Gear Red, and of course, the perennial Riverwest Stein flowed freely from the taps. And those raffle prizes? Nine inflatable monkeys, and each monkey was associated with a different prize. Pray tell… 'em what they won, folks)!
(Announcer voice): Yelptastic gift bags full of swag! Yelp T-shirts! Wasabi gumballs, fake moustaches, and bacon air fresheners! Cases of Lakefront beer, variety eight-packs, and tour tickets! Gift certificates to Brocach! Brocach swag! Big Lebowski booze prize packs!

So of course we move the fun over the river, on the marsupial bridge, and on to Brocach Irish Pub… Nerf swords, T-Rex masks, hula hoops, sombreros, and inflatable monkeys in tow. We noshed on classic (read: delicious!) Irish fare, including Reuben Sliders, Bangers and Mash, black bean burgers (some of the best in the city!), fish and chips (stellar!), buffalo wings, and bruschetta. We drank even MORE free Lakefront beer (was that even possible? … or necessary?) We rocked discounted Strawberry Mojitos and Dublin Mules. We pretty much just rocked.

Our servers and bartenders couldn't have been more welcoming and accomodating as we played giant jenga and bags on Brocach's gorgeous patio, watched the Big Lebowski, and rocked The Living Photo Booth Project's amazing photo booth!

What a wicked freaking good time! Nothing beats watching our Milwaukee community grow and bond over their love for our the good ol' four-one-four.
Until the next go-round, Yelp MKE… SYOY!
