Yelp Indy Paints The Town Red!

As soon as the clock struck six, Circle City elites began the red carpet strut into Mavris Arts & Event Center in downtown Indianapolis for Yelp Paints The Town Red! Jessica H counted her ylessings: "I was really glad that I was able to get in early with my Elite status
and try a majority of the vendors before the event really filled up!" More than 850 yelpers filled every nook and cranny of the three floors of the repurposed warehouse. Yelpers took the "scarlet soiree" to heart by sporting their finest ruby garb.

While waiting in the line that wrapped around the block, Yelpers were able to watch local graffiti artist, The Fab Crew, create a yelpy city skyline. "It was definitely exciting to see the line outside snaked down the block of fellow revelers about to get their Yelp on!" –Jesamyn R. Once inside, the first floor boasted a crimson photo booth by Vintage Originals of Franklin, Indiana, red velvet cake pops by Parcha Sweets, Sailor Jerry cider cocktails, massages by Studio 2000 and samples of Sun King brews. The music and party vibes rose as yelpers made their way to the second floor for more morsel munching and cocktail sipping!

With Sorgrhum margaritas in one hand and sea salt caramels by The Best Chocolate in Town in the other, Yelpers stopped by interactive booths including a commuter calculator by Urbn Dsgn, paint-by-numbers wall with NUVO, Yelp Shops Local chalkboard and projected films by Indy Film Fest with stadium seats by People for Urban Progress. Yelp shot glasses were filled with LICK ice cream flavors like milk chocolate goat cheese, coconut curry and bourbon maple syrup. On the savory side, Yelpers nibbled on Just Pop In! popcorn, U-Relish Farm's dips, Circle City Soup's black bean hummus and french onion soup. The beer was uh flowing! Blue Moon, Fountain Square Brewing, Flat 12 Bierwerks, Triton Brewing Company and Upland Brewing Company kept Yelp Brewmeisters like Heather H smiling: "It was great to see the wonderful folks from so many of our local
breweries out!  Jason B and I already frequent those on a more-than-we-should basis!" With two floors in their tummies, Yelpers sloshed their way to the third floor to get close to music magician and DJ extroidinaire, Kyle L of Cultural Cannibals. The Art Press boasted a line the entire evening with their screenprinting station and unique Hoosier Yelp t-shirt design. Harrison Bourbon, Wilks and Wilson Syrups and Copper Still Kitchen and Bar kept the drinks flowing with options like moonshine cocktails in a mason jar! Kincaid's Meat Market made the carnivores' day with a Red Meat Station featuring filet and bacon burger nibbles. There was no shortage of Kodak moments! Anna L's photostrip from Happy Snaps Photo Booth is now "sitting proudly in an empty frame!" U-Doodle's doodling station had yelpers showing off their artistic side and raising money for local urban entrepreneur starter, Dreamapolis. With Jonathan Frey Photography and Film's Circle City film playing on the wall, chalk artist/performer, The Speedscaper, turned an 8'x6' canvas into a city skyline masterpiece in less than an hour! Frittle Candy and 240Sweet eased the sugar cravings in the house with nostalgic candies like peanut brittle and an artisan marshmallow bar.
