Santa hats, elves, reindeer, ugly sweaters, and a Yelpmas tree were all the rage as 1000+ yelpers kicked-off the holiday season at Yelp's Holiday Hoopla at Mercedes-Benz of Honolulu! Yeeps received a Mercedez-Benz of Honolulu reuseable tumbler "pimp cup" and Yelp tote bag upon checking-in with the handy dandy Yelp mobile app.
Making Santa's nice list was as easy as dropping off a cash donation or new toy to the Aloha United Way and raffle tickets were issued for the night's spectacular prizes and giveaways! By night's end we collected over $4,000 in cash donations and hundreds of toys for kids which were given to the Salvation Army's Giving Tree!
Yelpers mixed, mingled and jingled as they got fake lashes applied by Face Art Beauty and pampered the stress away with up-dos, waxes, manicures and massages by Heaven On Earth Salon & Day Spa. Guests blinged up with glitter tattoos and balloons by Aloha Party Experts and Creative Air Entertainment while Confetti's Party Services added a touch of holiday magic with custom facepainting.
Hungry yeeps feasted on handrolls from Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar, tried out the new breakfast menu from Uncle Clay's House of Pure Aloha, and filled up their Santa sized bellies with bites from Waikiki hotspot Mac 24/7.
More interested in making the naughty list? The cheery staff at PF Changs mixed up an assortment of cocktails from Barcardi and Kai Spirits, as VICE and Hawaiian Island Brewing doled out the locally made draft brews. Meanwhile, ING Direct Cafe kept everyone hydrated and caffeinated with care.
Aloha Pops & Aloha Ice Cream Tricycle helped Santa's Yelpers keep their cool in Honolulu's 80 degree "Christmas" weather. The sweets from Bento's Mochi & Delectables , doughnuts from Regal Bakery, and Yelp S'more bar were guarenteed to help you put on those first few holiday pounds.
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear! And with live music from Da Push-O-Verse, jams by Exclusive Sound Entertainment and Star 101.9 the Christmas spirit was loud and proud! Yelpers were also treated to preformances from the Hawaii Pacific University Dance Team, Loading Zone, and RAW Artists. Flipbooks Hawaii helped Yelpers capture all the festive fun in a frame-by-frame keepsake and Photo Ops Hawaii made sure everyone looked their best in their photobooth close-ups! Pacific Digital Signs made social media come alive with their photo kioks which instantly shared photos on Facebook and Twitter.
We brought down the house with our "jan-ken-po" faceoff for the night's incredible giveaway, a 3-year smart car lease courtesy of our friends at Mercedes-Benz of Honolulu! Being green never felt or looked so good!
