Yelp Glasgow Elites descended en masse to The Plum Tree, a hot new opening in Merchant City last night to get Feastin' on Fondue!
Yelpers were treated to piping hot, oozy, delicious fondue with 'a fabulous selection of bite-sized cold foods, like salami (mmmm!), pickles, bread, broccoli and cauliflower, and some amazing asparagus' (Devin M). So, how was the Swiss cheese fondue? Summed up perfectly by Rocco G, it was 'cheesetastic!' Yelpers also dreamt up their DJ names for the night – check them out on the event page!
Not only that, Devin M loved the table of 'Mediterranean delights' with a 'gorgeous quiche, a selection of cheeses, two intriguing pates (the venison one was esp. good) and lots of olives and sun-dried tomatoes.' Not to mention the olive focaccia that was gobbled up in seconds!
Wines were provided by Inverarity One to One which were enjoyed by the Elites, Tanya L loved the 'fruity deep red!' Music was provided by Yelpers, with some bringing along their own records to play on the night! Big thanks to Rocco G, Graeme H and the winner of the popular vote with David Bowie, Sharon M!
As the night wound to a close, we heard about the "relaxed, uncomplicated, delicious" motto of The Plum Tree from owner Jo and the Yelpers got their hands (or feet) on the much sought-after Elite socks! Summing up the night beautifully, Devin M said "This evening was full of wonderful surprises from start to finish."
