That's right, Orlando Elites enjoyed a journey to Greece by way of International Drive and indulged in a night of Mediterranean cuisine, crazy chaos and cocktails at Taverna Opa. We took over a private dinning area in the back and danced, ate and drank our way into the evening.
The night's festivities raised money and supported the Community Food & Outreach Center who's mission is to provide a hand up for those in need, helping them to break free from poverty by offering hunger relief, crisis care, transformative education, and employment training opportunities.
"Not only do we get to try some fantastic grub, we learned about a nonprofit organization, the Community Food & Outreach Center. They provide food for those in need and they also have counseling services. Being an individual who works in the healthcare industry, it's great to see such an organization provide these type of services. Bravo!" - Annie F.
The festivities included freshly made marinated Chicken Kebobs with vegetables from the farmer's market, freshly made meze including Hummus, succulent Lamb Chops (the Yelper's fav) along with their signature Baklava. We sipped on Mythos Greek beer, wines and Yelp-inspired cocktails and seasonal drinks made with local fruits.

Taverna Opa Orlando pays homage to Mediterranean cuisine, utilizing traditional cooking methods. Items imported from Greece such as cheeses, olives and extra virgin olive oils are used in dishes, while signatures like Tzatziki, Hummus, Greek Yogurt and Dolmades are made from scratch, fresh daily.
"I HIGHLY recommend this place for a bday/wedding/whatever celebration–perfect kind of place to do that. The food… all made fresh using local produce which we were told is collected routinely by the management directly to create flavors that are bold and authentic. I think the winner of the night was the lamb though. Those fresh, local ingredients they use really came out in this seasoned selection.

"Our group was tucked into a private room next to the main room and I cannot definitively tell you where our party ended and where the main dining room party began. Super festive atmosphere throughout, very nice servers and wonderful food. With music pumping, a shower of napkins floating through the air like confetti and a cry of OPA throughout the restaurant, a gorgeous belly dancer twirled her way through the crowd." – Lisa W.
SNAP! Studio Booth and The Bokeh Studio were on hand to capture everyone arriving, everyone partying and of course the amazing food and fun.
