Soaring high above Dallas, the elite squad gathered atop the Hilton Anatole on the 27th floor to celebrate the opening of the highly anticipated, SER Steak + Spirits Elite Event. Donning their fanciest frocks and happiest smiles, the amazing Dallas elites were greeted by social media sponsor Social Media Delivered and given their very own specialized nametags with their respective Twitter handles.
A Social Media Shindig SER Steak + Spirits Elite Event offered a platform for us savvy social media guests to participate in a live twitter feed projected on two flat-screens throughout the space with designated #hashtags #yelp4ser and twitter handles @yelpdallas, @SERsteak, @socialmediadel, @PlanbPR, and @premeirebooth. Guests had a gas tweeting to the world about the "aahhmayzing!" view or the "Yummy apps and good wine."
Embarking onto the bar space reserved for the elites, we first had to digest the 360 degree sweeping views of Dallas. Kelicia C almost missed her chance to try the cool cocktails, because she was "too busy gawking over the astounding view!" Sarah Y corraborates about the "swank" event: "I had stars in my eyes as I rode up the marbled
elevator to the 27th floor, where the doors opened to an amazing sunset view with the Dallas skyline below."
After the star-struck views of Dallas subsided, the friendly SER bar offered an endless flow of wine,
champagne, specialty whisky and tequila cocktails. While we sipped and socialized our way around the mahogany-wood and leather-chaired space that resonates with an old-school cocktail lounge vibe – rounds of sirloin kebabs, shrimp wontons, and spicy buffalo wings adorned with the tastiest and tangiest homemade sauce, were served. "Those sirloin kabobs are soooooo good…as well as the wontons…and the chicken….basically everything was good," according Anh P. But the cocktail-making station teaching us the intricate ingredients that make up the old-school favorite, The Sidecar was Brian Q's favorite!
Thanks to Social Media Delivered fo snapping some stellar shots of the stupendous event. For the guests that needed to tap into their silly side, Premiere Photo Booth was onsite with a state-of-the-art photo booth that instantly upoaded our crazy candids to both Facebook and Twitter.
Kristie A sums up this magical evening as she comments on "how glad the Dallas elite group has grown." Indeed – because of the unique group of individuals that is the Yelp Dallas Elite Squad, these events are and always will be something to look forward to! This elite event couldn't have happened without our wonderful sponsors:
