Yelp Columbus just wrapped up the second annual Adulting with Yelp event series where Yelpers around the city we’re invited to roll up their sleeves with local businesses while learning how to juice from home, start a 401K, maintain a garden, use a power drill, and so much more.
Our first event of the series allowed Yelpers to devoured tasty pizza while receiving finance tips and tricks from local expert Krista Cavalieri with Evolve Capital. Yelper Margaret D. said, “I thought I was pretty on top of things financially, but I learned a lot from our game of finance bingo.” If that isn’t adulting at its finest, I don’t know what is! Later that week we teamed up with local female owned business Studio 614 and the Habitat for Humanity ReStore where we used recycled materials for crafting home decor. Check out the reviews here.
The following week we were in the kitchen cooking up healthy living practices compliments of Zest Juice, Fulcio Life, and Initiative Wisdom and Wellness. We also got dirty planting our own succulents at deMonye’s greenhouse. Local furniture fabricator Edgework Creative also joined in on the fun by giving us a peek at their brand new line of home furniture.
We kept things going with a co–working day where Yelpers wrapped up their work week and kicked off the weekend with a happy hour at the attached Wunderbar. To wind things down, we later gathered at luxury apartments, 801 Polaris, for a poolside yoga class guided by local yoga studio owner Alice with Heartfelt Yoga. We completed this relaxing night “in” with grub from BIBIBOP and hand massages from the team at Penzone Salon + Spa.
For the grand finale, we checked out the beautiful new apartments at 985 High where we hosted a house warming party complete with Hendrick’s Gin cocktails and Bel de Sol Sangria. Yelpers sipped on the rooftop patio enjoying the view of the skyline in beautiful weather. If you happened to wonder into the 2 bedroom unit you would have been greeted with party platters from local favorite, Hot Chicken Takeover, home tidying tips from home organizer Michell Domke, and mini glam sessions from the crew at Penzone Salon + Spa.
