This December, Yelp Elites gathered for an exclusive Winter Wonderland Workshop at the magical Breezewood Gardens & Gifts in Chagrin Falls. Breezewood Gardens is Northeast Ohio’s favorite garden center, boasting both a unique garden experience and an enjoyable shopping destination. Over the years, Breezewood Gardens has evolved from a garden center into a uniquely alluring combination of garden, apparel, gift, floral shop and landscape design service. The evening began with a beautiful spread of food and drink featuring appetizers by The Hungry Bee and Heinen’s in Chagrin Falls. With a glass of wine in-hand, Elites mixed and mingled as they settled into personalized stations in the dazzling garden center.
Kicking the evening off, the talented floral designers of Breezewood Gardens began instruction with an evergreen centerpiece class just in time for the holidays. These unique centerpieces featured a beautiful selection of high-quality evergreens from their extensive selection. Designers also led us through properly setting a table for the holidays!Designer Kara led the class through a step-by-step creation process for all skill levels:
- Cover the container and get your length.
- Fill in with pine. (Tip: Don’t be afraid to trim the pine!)
- Top off with cedar.
- Fill in with variegated oregonia.
- Add final touches and accessories like bulbs or pinecones.
Yelp Elites explored their creativity and ended the evening with an original creation that reflected their personality.
As Elite Laura M. described, “This event was by far one of my favorites of all time. This totally got me into the Christmas spirit, everything was so festive! The staff was so friendly, accommodating and so informative. The went out of the way to make sure that everyone felt at home… I learned so much from the demo and the hands-on project and have far more confidence in my centerpiece creation ability. Everyone’s turned out so different but each equally pretty, like snowflakes unique and beautiful.”
