Yelp Cleveland’s Vintage Vault Soirée

This February, Yelp Elites gathered in downtown Cleveland at the Vault (located inside The 9) for an evening full of fun and adventure! Yelp Elites experienced a one-of-a-kind evening at the Vault for handcrafted cocktails and a guided tour of an incredible space. With the rich history behind the Vault, the lore of this space did not disappoint. Upon arrival, each Elite received a welcome drink as we gathered to meet the staff and to learn more about the Vault’s rich history through Maxwell, our tour guide. Elites learned that the Vault contains the Carnegie Vault where business tycoons Rockefeller and Carnegie held their most prized possessions, stores of the Prohibition loom here and so much more. Elites heard insider stories from the Vault’s own expert while sipping delicious drinks.The Vault prides itself on handcrafted cocktails and even encourages guests to challenge their bartenders to invent unique drinks customized to their preferences. As Elite Naini S. said, “The handcrafted cocktails tasted exquisite even when I gave vague requests.” As Laurie V. also added, “The Vault has a really cool history and Maxwell told the story well. There are a lot of little nooks and crannies, and cozy corner caves to relax with your cocktail. I imagine all the wealth that has crossed beyond the thick doors of the Vault—Carnegies and Rockefellers and other noteworthy families who once had important heritage on Millionaire’s Row in Cleveland.” Next, Elites explored the Vault in its entirety and chose their own adventure. As Elite Will W. said, “Each vault offers a small sanctuary to sit back with some friends and enjoy the complexities of their cocktails.” As the evening came to close, ten lucky Elites experienced the Vault’s specialty drink, the AZ85. The bartenders only make a few of these per day, so Elites had a personalized adventure catered directly to them. Without giving much of the surprise away, the AZ85 is a specialty drink that involves flames, smoke, and an ice cube…and takes a day to make! Check out the outstanding event reviews and photos here.
