Yelp Cleveland’s Eliot Ness Adventure

This August, Yelp Elites adventured to Perplexity Games in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood for a truly special escape room experience! Perplexity believes in 100% original, immersive games that are written uniquely by the owners. Two groups of Yelp Elites settled in for an evening of exploration in the Eliot Ness Investigation.“It’s 1938 and Cleveland Safety Director Eliot Ness has secretly hired you to investigate a corrupt city commissioner with ties to illegal gambling. You’ve got an hour to find the evidence needed to take him down and get out safely. If you’re caught by the mob you’ll be sleeping with the fishes in Lake Erie.”

Eliot Ness was a high-profile Cleveland figure widely acclaimed as Cleveland Safety Director in the 1930’s and was the famous leader of a team of law enforcement officials, nicknamed The Untouchables, responsible for the fall of Al Capone. The Eliot Ness Investigation uses immersive props and movie-grade sets. No jump scares, just puzzles! A great choice for all types of groups with a mix of puzzle styles, and a popular choice with experienced escape enthusiasts as well as first timers. The room is loosely based on true Cleveland history though no prior knowledge is required.As Yelp Elite Winnie W. wrote, “Perplexity, you gave us a run for our money. I have been to many escape rooms all over the country, but… I enjoyed yours with the best of them. I liked how there were several different locks, mathematical codes, secret doorways, and pieces of the puzzle to solve. There is a little bit of everything for different types of learners and personalities. I love how the back story is about Cleveland and gives you a small but very interesting history lesson!  You can tell that Diana was extremely excited to share her business with us and is very passionate about Perplexity. I most definitely will be back!”
