As Yelp Elite Sarah E. wrote, “We were welcomed to the event, which was held on their patio, by a lemonade/iced tea bar. Waiting at our tables were goodie bags of Yelp favors and some dry rub from the restaurant, as well as their menu. The GM started things off by telling us the history of this Ohio style barbeque and how their restaurant got started. You could see his love for the business and that translated into the food!”
The menu for the evening included a delicious spread of cornbread, cucumber salad, a mac and cheese bar, green beans, baked beans, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, ribs and more. Elites could also customize their barbeque with one of City Barbeque’s award-winning sauces. As Elite Kristen M. described, “The next important thing about BBQ joints is the sauces and man, did they have a lot! And each was unique. I’ve never been to a place with so many good ones. It was tough to choose a favorite. ”
To top the evening off, Elites were spoiled with a mouthwatering chocolate cake for dessert. Elites left the evening with happy tummies, plenty of leftovers and gift bags courtesy of City Barbeque. As Elite Winnie W. gushed. “I love the story behind this BBQ place, touring the country making it their own mom and pop business, and has grown it to new heights. I also appreciate that they treat their workers like family, just like how Yelp is really a second family! Food was amazing, goodie bags were awesome, and being able to take leftovers was the cherry on top. I will definitely be back to try more food because who wouldn’t, this was a BBQ blast!”
