The competition was deliciously fierce, but Baltimore proved its love of a fabulous local brunch favorite in a landslide!
In early March, Yelp Baltimore’s March Munchness bracket competition kicked off with a host of tried-and-true competitors. Covering different areas of Charm City and a variety of cuisines, more than 1000 votes decided the final victor of this challenge: Miss Shirley’s Cafe!
In Round 1, Miss Shirley’s fought hard to win against Fed Hill favorite, Abbey Burger Bistro. Round 2 brought it head-to-head with fellow “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” restaurant, Chaps Pit Beef. Both businesses rallied the troops, but Miss Shirley’s moved on to Round 3 to defeat another Baltimore fave, Woodberry Kitchen. The final, fierce week-long round pitted Miss Shirley’s Cafe against Thames Street Oyster House.
