Trick or treat. Why do you have to pick? Yelp Baltimore Elites didn't, getting their fill of both Thursday night at Yelp's Hard Rock Halloween!
"Holy Moley!!! Can you say ridiculously awesome? That is what this party is…I mean all-you-can-drink Hurricanes alone makes this party insane!" exclaims Larissa J.
Valarie J had to take a pause as she "passed by the s'more station, fully-stocked with two different chocolates, huge marshmallows, graham crackers, and fire pits. In the next room, there were three food stations. The first consisted of stuffed tomatoes w/chicken salad and chicken salad logs, and gourmet cucumber cups ith ranch sauce stuffed with carrot and celery sticks. They were fresh and yelplicious. Second station had jasmine rice and shrimp au gratin… a little on the spicy side, but really good. The third station contained roasted potatoes on a stick, flat iron steak, and roasted veggies (peppers, red onion, and yellow squash)," she describes. On top of that, "the severs walked around with trays of burgers topped with crab meat, deep fried mac & cheese balls, and bacon wrapped dates." DELICIOUS!!!
Kevin H could hardly take in the extras with the ambiance of the newly-remodelled Hard Rock over-powering him with amazement. " The renovated Hard Rock Cafe looked awesome with vibrant colors and a slick design, especially the central bar."
The bar came to Elites, though, who were greated with huge glasses of Hurricanes immediately upon arrival. Once inside, Elites competed at various Halloween game stations for concert tickets to see Lupe Fiasco, India Arie, or K. Michelle at Ram's Head Live, tickets for Festival of Trees at the Fairgrounds, and movie premiere tickets for Thor!
You'd think that would be enough star power to light up the night, but it was tough competition when the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, walked through the doors to take pictures with Elites and their guests, who were in awesome costumes themselves.
"The various costumes highlighted Yelpers' creativity, including the Jamaican Bobsled Team, Mr. 50 Shades of Grey, Popeye & Olive Oil and of course, Miley and her Wrecking Ball. I even found another two Waldos to match my own and I think Carmen and I had our picture taken more than a few times from our fellow Yelpers," says Benjamin M.
Capturing all of their looks was Jon-Michael Moses Photography and Booth-o-Rama Modern Photobooths, which was "a huge hit" according to George T. "I'm not sure what the limit is, but you can definitely cram in at least six Halloween-costume-clad adults in the booth. And the photos came out great; HD great with printouts."
"I was completely entertained the whole time as well," new Elite Teresa A sums up. "The dance-off (courtesy of the all-ways great Digilog Crew) had me laughing so hard, it was really entertaining to watch. The games and photobooth were fun and the costumes were great icebreakers to talk and meet really cool people, who I hope to see at the next one!"
It was "my favorite Elite Event this year!" Kris L gushes.
More where that came from, for sure!
