The Museum of Ice Cream opened their pink doors to the Yelp Elite Squad for their most anticipated experience of the year, PINKMAS. The annual PINKMAS celebration is back with extra sprinkles and even more ice cream. The Museum of Ice Cream invited us to dress in our pinkest holiday looks, and embark on the magical journey filled with delicious treats, festive crafts, a larger-than-life snow globe and much more! The Pinkmas experience was filled with interactive moments and limited-time activities like the MOIC’s Pinkmas tree forest, gingerbread house building station, and the countless flavor samples of ice cream.
Before the pink wonderland of delicious creamy ice cream and interactive winter photo ops, the Yelp Elite Squad got to enjoy an array of small bites and drinks from some of our favorite places in Austin. Chi’Lantro was sampling some of their staple proteins like their spicy pork and marinated tofu in small bowls as well as their kimchi fries and iconic creamy korean esquites. Cinnaholic was sampling their signature 100% vegan cinnamon rolls in a mini size with a variety of topping options from chocolate chips to blueberries. They also had an array of other baked goods like their brownies, chocolate chip cookies and cookie dough. For drinks, Wanderlust Wine Co gave us a sample of their winter signature white sangria which was topped with a candy cane and was perfectly bubbly.
The Museum of Ice Cream Pinkmas celebration had an array of interactive rooms that were transformed into a pink winter wonderland. Yelp Elites got to enjoy an array of holiday ice cream flavors like the candy cane and the gingerbread ice cream. In addition to the ice cream, we also go to try the drinks from their sprinkle bar like their sprinkle shots and their pink hot chocolate. Towards the end of the experience, the Yelp Elite Squad gathered at the sprinkle room for the first ever Austin Yelpies, an award ceremony commemorating the top Elites of 2022. Everyone got a special goody bag and enjoyed a night of getting to know one another.
Celebrating the most wonderful time of the year at the sweetest place in Austin with our amazing 2022 Yelp Elite Squad!
“This was such an awesome way to celebrate another great year on Yelp! Thank you to Tomas, Anna, the Museum of Ice Cream, and the delicious food vendors for this fun experience. This was my first time visiting MOIC, and it lived up to the hype. The ice cream was delicious (the gingerbread was my favorite), and I was in awe of all the fun interactive spaces in the museum. I can now say that I’ve slid into a pool of sprinkles!
Also, big shout out to the awesome food vendors who kept us well-fed and hydrated. Wanderlust was great as always, and I probably enjoyed their specialty drink a little too much. I’ve been a big Chilantro fan for years, especially their amazing kimchi fries. And I was so impressed by the treats at Cinnaholic! Their owners were so friendly and informative, they even gave me some extra rolls to bring home. I will definitely be stopping by their store.
Big thanks to our Yelp Austin team for organizing the Yelpies and treating us all to a great night of fun. It’s always great seeing old Elite friends and making new ones.” – Yelp Elite Lee Roy C.
