“I could have listened to Mark talk about local wines, prohibition, the importance of Arizona CAP water, and the history of Arizona wine all night!”
-Elite Yelper, Kim L
At our most recent Yelp Meet the Maker event, Yelpers were treated to a spectacular evening with Flying Leap Vineyards that included a wine tasting, food pairings and some serious education. The tasting was expertly led by Mark Beres (one of the founding partners), Cindy Freeman (tasting room associate at St. Philips Plaza) and Audrey Moeller (marketing and events coordinator). Mark Beres covered everything from the systematic approach to tasting, the concept of “Terroir” or the impact of climate on how grapes are grown and how the resulting wine tastes, to a history lesson and their water conservation efforts on the vineyard– guests walked away much more knowledgable about wine and Arizona viticulture than ever before!

A huge thank you to Cindy, Mark Beres and Audrey Moeller. We can’t thank you enough for your hospitality!
