Yelp’s purpose has always been to connect people with great local businesses. Over the years, we’ve added a bevy of new features to help get you there! From food delivery via Yelp Eat24, to helping you catch the closest Pikachu via the Pokéstop filter, our engineers are constantly crafting fun and new ways to enhance your Yelp experience.
We’re always excited to hear what our Yelp Elites think of the new app features, so we asked them which recent changes they’re most pumped about. Read on and you may learn a Yelp app hack or two that will make connecting with local businesses even easier and more fun than ever!
1) Request A Quote

An antique fridge on the fritz, broken Nintendo Wii, and a custom t-shirt order. These are all times Elites have relied on Yelp’s Request A Quote feature to help them find the most qualified business for the job. You can get up to 10 instantaneous price quotes without having to navigate away from Yelp.
“I used the Request a Quote feature when I was looking to have the glass on my iPad replaced. It was really cool because I was able to talk to business owners about all the details I needed while reading reviews from other Yelpers.” – Jenny C., Buffalo, NY
2) Bookmark Collections
Bookmarking businesses is a longstanding feature on Yelp, but there was never a way to truly organize those picks until recently. With Bookmark Collections, you can curate lists of everything from your favorite local coffeeshops to must-visit destinations for your upcoming vacation.

“I like the new bookmarks section on the app. Now when I’m thinking of a place I want to go that’s not in Miami, I can easily group all those fun places together instead of searching through my long bookmarks list to remember what I put there.” – Heather S., Miami, FL
3) Yelp Reservations
You’re craving Indian food and come across a new restaurant with rocking reviews that you want to try. With Yelp Reservations, you can book it instantly on the app or desktop site. No phone call required!

“The ability to request reservations through the app is my new favorite feature. This makes the process of finding and trying new places seamless.” – Raymond B., Louisville, KY
4) Cash Back
This exciting new feature was announced at the end of 2016 and is certain to be a dining out game changer! When you enroll in Cash Back then pay at a participating business with any of the cards you’ve linked to the program, you’ll automatically get up to 10% cash back on your purchases at thousands of businesses across the country.

“I haven’t used it yet, but I think Cash Back is an awesome way to support local businesses and get some money back too!” – Bryan J., Louisville, KY
5) iOS Updates
Nothing against Android fans, but the iOS 10 updates have Elites buzzing! From making a reservation within Apple Maps, to easily sharing recent businesses you’ve viewed in Messages (and a cute sticker pack to boot!), everyone has a new favorite feature.

“Dropping a Yelp business into Messages is incredibly super helpful to share with friends. It eliminates all the trouble of browsing and searching the location through the app.” – David L., Miami, FL
