Syracuse loves good eats almost as much as it loves the color orange. The Salt City food scene is surprisingly diverse and growing fast. From regional staples like chicken riggies to worldly fare like Indian street food, upscale hor d’oeuvres to basic burgers, experimental donuts to classic pasta, there are restaurants in Syracuse to please every palate, wallet, and diet. 

With the help of Yelp data, we rounded up a list of the best places to eat in Syracuse.

Methodology: This is a list of the top places to eat in Syracuse according to Yelp. We identified businesses in the restaurant and food categories, then ranked those spots using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews. We removed national chains, and if a local chain appeared on the list more than once, we only included the highest rated location. All businesses were marked open on Yelp as of January 2022. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of January 2022.
