- Pecan Lodge – Deep Ellum

What they’re known for: BBQ brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork, and jalapeño sausage
Yelpers say: “Pecan Lodge is arguably the best BBQ I’ve had anywhere. We arrived at opening time during a weekday and within minutes…the restaurant was full. The brisket sandwich was unbelievably good and the giant beef ribs were near perfection. Nothing I tried was too salty or sweet. For all my personal preferences with BBQ, everything was just right. Five stars.” -Dan A
- Maple Leaf Diner – North Dallas

What they’re known for: Canadian specialties; poutine, butter tarts and traditional American diner foods
Yelpers say: “Amazing, consistent and delicious! It’s a taste of Canada right here in Dallas! Their french toast is to die for.” -Gary K
- rise n°1 – Inwood Village

What they’re known for: French savory soufflés, artisanal cheeses, wine bar
Yelpers say: “I’m gonna keep it short – if you’re in Dallas and you think you might like Soufflé, make reservations now. One of my favorite and most memorable meals to date. A soufflé-focused restaurant sounds hokey, but I promise you it’s not. They nail it here. I wouldn’t change a thing about anything I ate – which was basically the entire menu.” – Claire H
- Ellen’s – West End, Downtown Dallas

What they’re known for: Southern comfort food and brunch
Yelpers say: “We were in Dallas for a 4 day trip and happened to try Ellen’s the first night for dinner. I don’t know how we got so lucky but we did! The service was excellent. The staff were all super friendly. They even had outdoor seating. But most importantly the food was INCREDIBLE! We made it a point to eat there a few more times before our trip ended. Each time we tried something new and we never found a dud. I highly recommend the pancake pot pie! It was my absolute favorite! If you are having doubts, just go. You won’t regret it!” -Laurel B
- Wabi House– Lower Greenville

What they’re known for: Ramen, karaage, small plates
Yelpers say: “I love Wabi House. Everytime I come here I end up with a grin on my face after finishing my meal. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen and tried the Crispy Pork Ear and Pork Croquettes. In the ramen, the soy marinated egg is amazing, slightly sweet and salty with a creamy yolk, and the chashu is very tender. The crispy pork ear is amazing, it’s crispy and chewy on the inside and the garlic aioli that comes with the ear is so good. The filling inside the pork croquettes are also really good. I would definitely come back here again even though it is a little far from me. The food is amazing and the staff has been super kind and helpful.” -Jason D
