Yes, The Yelp 500 was Indy's first open party to the entire community. Like the summer pastime hero Yogi Berra said, "let's play two!" So we threw another smashing open party to the public just a month later — The Yelp Elite Squad's Hot Ball!
Now the Elite Squad knows they party just about every month, but the rest of Indy… do you know how The Elite Squad gets down? To make sure… The Hot Ball gave 150 other yelpers a very special sneak peek at what in the world of awesomesauce goes on at these Elite Squad parties.
300 yelpers fired up a season of heat at The IMA's public art, nature park wonderland, 100 Acres. Nourish Cafe (The IMA's own) lavished Elites with bites of beef bruschetta & risotto balls, & woo-ed yelpers with the red & the white wines. The Hot Ball's exclusive beer sponsor — Upland Brewing — poured pitch-perfect pints of nuthugger brown, the always spectacular wheat & dragonfly IPA.
Yelpers tossed horseshoes, bocce'd and croquet'd for prizes of Upland growlers and IMA special exhibit tickets.
Yelpers took advantage of the Yelp mobile app's check-in offer for the event, and got the Elite treatment: "champagne your mouth." You say, "close only counts in horseshoes & hand grenades?" Add Champagne Your Mouth to that list, please. A case of the bubbly + super soaker + The Yelp Elite moxie = Champagne Your Mouth. Goggles & Yelp poncho required.
Now you're privy to just how The Elite Squad rolls. Want to be Elite? Learn more here, and find someone to nominate you ASAP (we can hear it now, "Dear Mom…").
Yelp Elite extraordinnaire Ben H said it best, "This has to be an annual thing. HOT BALL!!!!!"
There? Coulda, woulda, shoulda? Relive the memories or envy the Elites, reviews here.
Keep it Elite ya'll,
