Pucker is a new makeup destination in the heart of SoHo – a collaboration between extraordinarily talented makeup artist Julio Sandino, and ambitious, business-savvy mom Hiyam McKelvey. After having her makeup done for an event by Julio, Hiyam felt so glamorous and confident that she set out on a mission to bring that experience to other busy women by making professional makeup applications easy and accessible.
Pucker does away with the awkwardness (and pushiness) of a department store and the hefty price tag of an at-home makeup session by providing a chic and inviting environment that proves beautiful makeup doesn't have to cost a fortune. To add to Pucker's mission of empowerment, two percent of all Pucker sales goes to charity: one percent to the Global Fund for Women, and one percent to Grace Institute, which provides low-income and unemployed women in New York with skills training and job placement.
