What better way to kick off 2018 with our first grand Elite Event of the year – at The Yelpies! The night proved to be a hilarious, magical evening filled with delicious food, spirits, and of course, awards!
Our Elite Squad had the chance to chill in the beautiful
Lakeward Spirits banquet space, and were treated to everything that the building had to offer – spirits from Lakeward Spirits, wine and cider from their soon-to-open Bar Cultivar, Kombucha from Snowy Owl, and even some delicious bites from
Buffalo’s Best Cucina.
Teton Kitchen tagged along with their incredibly delicious tuna sushi tacos, and
East Hill Creamery brought out all the best cheese samples!
Ohlson’s Bakery also provided us with a gorgeous Yelpies cake, just for the occasion.
Lakeward Spirits even paid a tribute to Yelp with the “Yelpie,” a cocktail made with elderberry and gin! Yum!
The show started with an awesome stand-up act by our own Yelp Elite member, Jamie T! Jamie had the crowd roaring with her roast of some of the top Buffalo Yelpers. The magician
Paul Antonio was up next with some incredible acts that still have our Elites wondering just how he did it.
Fourteen Elites took home their own Yelpie this year, for achievements like Eight Year Vet, Most Useful Non-Restaurant Reviews, UYE Host of the Year, Life of The Party, and of course, Photographer of the Year and Reviewer of the Year! Once again, we congratulate all of the winners for their hard work and dedication to keeping Yelp a great place to discover local businesses.
