Great food and smoothies! Love the vibes and the salmon salad is delicious! The juices are good and priced well. Great place to visit when you want some good clean food, and an amazing place to eat in the heart of the city.” — Mahagoney B. on Yelp

I ordered the two hand burger with an order of seasoned fries. It was definitely the best burger I’ve had in KC! The flavor was great and I love a thicker patty. You have to grab the sassy sauce and house sauce for dipping your fries.” — Laney B. on Yelp

Easily the best breakfast I’ve had in KC. I got the BEC sandwich, the savory eggs and bacon paired perfectly with the cinnamon raisin toast it was on. You can definitely taste the quality of the bacon as it’s sourced from a local farm, and the thick slices are sure to keep you satisfied all day. Friendliest staff around which only further enhances the experience.” — Natalie B. on Yelp

A great spot to come and hang out with friends, have a drink and listen to good music. The daiquiris are amazing!  If you are not a fan of daiquiris they do have a full bar so you can order a drink of your choice. They also serve food and the cajun wings are great!” — Chanda H. on Yelp

This is my favorite restaurant in KC! I mean how can you beat a Black-owned oyster bar with a rotating seasonal menu? I have never had something here that I didn’t love, nor have I ever had a bad experience… every night is a good one!” — Sherelle L. on Yelp

Mattie’s is top notch plant-based food (scratch that – it’s just top notch food). I just had the brisket with a side of greens, and frankly I’m blown away. Everything was perfect, the staff are all warm, friendly and efficient. I will be going back many, many times.” — Alex H. on Yelp

It was my first time having Ethiopian food and it won’t be my last. The flavor palate was amazing — spicy, tangy, savory. I wasn’t sure what to order as my sides but our server, Rebecca, was so helpful. The interior is dark and intimate.” — Annie B. on Yelp

The peanut butter stew was a runaway favorite. We also enjoyed fried rice, samosas, and a white doughy root vegetable that made everything taste better and which we couldn’t stop using to sop up all the different delectable sauces. We rolled out content and very full.” — Eddie D. on Yelp

Now I like wings, and these did not disappoint! We ordered a number of things from the menu, 24 wings including: lemon pepper, garlic ranch, bourbon, and smoked sriracha. They were all so flavorful and the perfect temperature. My favorite seasoning is lemon pepper, and this one ranks top in the area.” — LaShandra S. on Yelp

The food was amazing, warm, and comforting. We had an open faced turkey dinner, fried chicken, hot wings, beans and cornbread, southern greens, and peach cobbler. The greens were the best I have had in years. Everything was so good and the service was top notch from the time we stepped in the door until we left. This will definitely be in our KC rotation.” — Rebecca G. on Yelp
