Taste of Amsterdam is an annual four-day festival at the Amstelpark; the whole park has been transformed into a culineray delight where fifteen of the best Amsterdam restaurants showcase their 'signature dishes', multiple food vendors offer you their goodies, cocktails are being shaked, the wine flows and the spirits are poured. In other words: it's a foodlover's heaven! You walk around several stands & tents, you can meet the chefs (some of which hold Michelin star-restaurants) and learn the story about their dishes and vision on food. It's relaxed, it's fun, it's gastronomic. What's not to like?
Thirty of the Amsterdam Elites had been invited in the VIP Sublime Paviljoen and were greeted in the most hospitable and welcome way! The food and drinks were outstanding! We started of with typically Dutch cheese and sausages. Henri came with their 'Soup Rocks' and wow, they did rock! Beautiful creamy Lobster soup and their vision on a 'Bloody Mary', soup-style! Time to explore a truly exotic dish of We Deliver Taste: Chef & owner Pavlos told us about his Greek heritage and influences in his kitchen with so much enthusiasm, that even without trying, we knew his food was amazing. He introduced 'Bottarga' (Greek kaviar) to us and let me tell you: it's really worth trying. We wondering around the festival, trying delicious food everywhere and then it was time for dessert by no other than Petit Gateau!
