Just in time for Halloween, Smashburger opened a new location in San Jose! And before the public got a taste, the South Bay Yelp Elite Squad had a burger spooktacular in full costume.
Not long ago, people ate lots of burgers, however they were ordinary burgers. But there was something missing – the need for something satisfying and real, something basic and good, something affordable and fresh – a place with a burger soul. A place that burger lovers could call their own and feel pride in recommending to their friends and family. So Smashburger asked, shouldn’t there be a better way?

And taste we did! 7-courses to be exact, not including sides or shakes. Luckily, our outfits had elastic waists and could withstand the stress. Our host from Smashburger HQ, Christine, took us through the entire process, explaining everything from the restaurant concept to the choice ingredients to how to actually smash a burger. And Yelpers loved every minute of it!

"I haven't had burgers as good as I did last night at the Smashburger Elites only event. This intimate event was a good chance for me to get to know other Elite Yelpers. I loved how much information we learned about Smashburger and their Certified Angus Beef Burgers, Chicken Burgers and Vegetarian Burgers. It was cool to learn that they have Regional Burgers you can purchase only at regional locations. For instance, here in the Bay Area we have our very own Bay Burger and they use a Ciabatta Bun instead of their Egg Buns they use on their classic burgers." – Marlyn A
