Elite Event: Yelp’s Soho Street Food Crawl

Last night, London Yelp Elites and their guests were stuffed to their eyeballs with flavours from the streets. We aren't talking Dizzee Rascal here, but tasty morsels of yumminess served up at Pho, Wahaca and Moolis on Yelp's Soho Street Food Crawl.

Groups of yelpers met their guides at the three locations to start their Soho adventure in street food. First Up, Pho served a selection of Vietnamese fresh summer and spring rolls, zingy and light Vietnamese salads and their signature pho. Chopsticks and wooden spoons dove into a selection of chicken, beef and veggie pho. It certainly had Peter S and Larissa D slurping away at their noodles. All this was washed down with their fresh fruit juices and Viet coffees.

That wasn't all! Every Yelper walked out clutching a goodie bag stuffed with coffee from Cà Phê and a Vietnamese-style brewing vessel, perfect for the postprandial sitting and review-writing! After all that piping hot broth yelpers cooled down on the walk to their next street food spot… Moolis.

Grabbing a glass of Old Monk Rum and Coke, everyone trundled down to Soho Square to dine in true street food style – on the grass with good company. Mat from Moolis went into the history of his wonderful wraps (not to be confused with a burrito – you heard us Eamon B!) and his newest addition to the menu Chaat. Goat, chickpea, paneer, pork, chicken and beef roti wraps for all. At this point yelpers were rolling around Soho, no not drunk… Stuffed with delicious delights.

  Next up, Wahaca doused the Elites with sumptuous sipping tequila, yes Irene O and Sarah O, sipping tequila. Oli from Wahaca then talked the groups through some traditional Mexican street food dishes, from slow cooked pork pibil tacos, ceviche tostadas and a broad bean, mint and feta quesadillas.

At this point, very full Elites and their guests all headed down to Wahaca's cocktail bar below to mingle and fill the little space they had left in their bellies with margaritas and more.
