What do you get when you mix Yelp Elites with fresh cocktails, seasonal cuisine, and a beautiful new restaurant? A 5-star good time for an intimate bunch in San Francisco. A handful of brand new Elites mixed and mingled with veteran Squad members for a cocktail reception upstairs in Reverb's private mezzanine. Passed apps like kale and beet salad, grilled squid, and Chef Ryan's homemade mini donuts were on the menu, paired with Jardesca cocktails. About our Host:
Reverb is the second restaurant from owners Ari Derfel and Eric Fenster. Originally opened in Dec 2013, Reverb debuted under the name Verbena. While the first incarnation as Verbena was well received and loved by many, it did not meet the team's own internal hopes and aspirations. This sentiment was also echoed by the community. Ultimately, it was time for a second take.
With Chef Ryan Shelton at the helm, Reverb's kitchen creates a balanced menu of omnivore and vegetable dishes. Our menus evolve with the seasons and are inspired by a local community of farmers, ranchers and artisan food producers. The full bar, directed by Madison Fraser, sets the stage at Reverb and showcases familiar classics and innovative seasonal cocktails. Wine list features talented small-producer wines highlighting the best of each wine making region.
Everything Reverb does is based on the same values as Gather, their first restaurant in Berkeley, opened in 2009.
