Comparable to post temperence movement, last Tuesday 250 Elites roared into Bootlegger for a celebration filled with booze, bites, and buddies. Yelp's Prohibition Repeal Party had guests draped in their 1920's best, with everything from fedoras and fine suits to flapper fems and fancy shoes.
The friendly neighborhood tavern did guests right rocking complimentary SKYY Vodka cocktails and free flowing Miller High Life. Served in flutes, The Champagne of Beers lived up to it's name classing it up with 40 oz self service bottles at each table. Maria C was certainly a fan yelping, “We schmoozed and boozed it in our 20's gear – flapper and fedora style, baby… It was HAWT.”
A fine array of tasty appetizers were also on hand. The wonderfully attentive crew made their rounds with crab hush puppies, shrimp and cilantro fritters, mini Sloppy Giuseppes and much more. David G was at a loss for words claiming, "I couldn't tell you which one was the best, because they all were!”
Capturing mug shots Project Photobooth saved some of the memories with a black and white setup representative of the era. Whether poses were making it rain, smoking fake cigars, or sporting a machine gun and fishnets…photogenic yelpers proved it really does feel good to be a gangsta!
