The Bottling Department is not your ordinary food court! Yelpers enjoyed trying tasty dishes from the different restaurants here recently. This over-the-top food hall at the Pearl Brewery brings chefs together to hone their craft and to provide affordable options from the local culinary community. They have Tenko, Bud’s Southern Rotisserie,The Bar at Bottling Department, Fletcher’s, The Good Kind and Maybelle’s Donuts. Go check them out!
Elites were able to meet the chefs to learn more about the restaurants and what their featured dishes were. The first dish was made by Chef Quealy Watson from Tenko Ramen. Every attendee was presented Sunomono with King Crab and Furikake. Yum! While the Yelpers were enjoying Tenko Ramen, they went over to The Bar and ordered some drinks to compliment the rest of the food that was being prepared. They also tried some great wines from Bending Branch Winery located in Comfort, Texas. Up next was the pork and grits with peach cobbler made by Chef Pieter Sypesteyn from Bud’s Southern Rotisserie. Perfect blend of sweet and savory. It was so tasty that everyone cleaned their plates! The third sampling was a corn dog ball on a stick with a pickled flavor made by Chef Sergio Remolina from Fletcher’s Hamburgers. Cute and tasty, but definitely an adventure for your taste buds! Last but not least, Yelpers had The Good Kind’s Baked Gluten Free Mac and Cheese made by Chef Tim McDiarmid. Yes, GLUTEN-FREE and super cheesy. Everyone wanted to take it home!
The fun didn’t stop there! Yelpers were able to go to either one of these restaurants and order a complimentary entree. The perks of being a Yelp Elite! Many Elites came back with full plates. We saw folks with chicken jambalaya from Bud’s Southern Rotisserie, cheesy bacon fries with a milkshake from Fletcher’s Hamburgers, more gluten-free mac and cheese from The Good Kind, and some sweet donuts from Maybelle’s Donuts. What a treat!
