San Antonio: Elite Experience at Smart Barre Stone Oak

Okay ladies now let’s get in formation! The ladies of Yelp Elite broke a sweat at Smart Barre Stone Oak thanks to our trainer, Shelby! She showed us that you don’t need to be a dancer to dominate in a barre class.

Smart Barre is an all women’s low intensity workout class, with 2-3 pound weights, the ballet bar, resistance bands, and muscle balls, but don’t underestimate it, you will break a sweat from the repetition of all of the workouts! You don’t even need shoes for this workout, all you need to wear to the class are workout clothes and socks. Before the class, everyone was excited and anxious to take the class since more of the Yelpers had never done a barre class before. Shelby, our trainer told us from the start to expect a workout of a lifetime and she did not disappoint! From start to finish, she pushed us to keep going and her encouragement and music got everyone motivated. The Yelpers were so thankful for Smart Barre’s hospitality with their complimentary socks for women who did not have a pair, their yoga mats, and their other equipment. During the workout, everyone was feeling the burn! The Yelpers were in shock from how doing such a low intensity workout could make a huge difference!

Each class is about 1 hour long, which is the perfect amount of time to workout everything! The class focuses on different parts of your body throughout the hour, so you will be sure to get a full body workout without having to do any heavy lifting. Also, the workout follows the music the instructor picks, so you will always get something new from the various Smart Barre instructors! With the music, the lighting in the class changes as well, getting dimmer throughout the hour. From the lighting, to the music, being instructed by an encouraging trainer, and being surrounded by empowering women, this class has a one-of-a-kind vibe that the Yelpers can guarantee! To end it, Zoe’s Kitchen gave the Yelpers veggies, hummus, and pita bread as post workout fuel and it hit the spot! By the end of the workout and snacks, everyone felt like fitness guru’s and ready to take on any kind of workout! Smart Barre and Zoe’s Kitchen made working out so much fun!
