RAAAAAaaaarrrrrrr!!! It's a highly scientific roar. Not your average tiger roar, nor your slightly histerical 'We've won the match' roar, more of your specific 'Viking-Scare-The-C$%*-Out-Of-Passers-By' roar. After a group practice before taking off, it's horns on heads, and you're ready to get all Norse up in here!
What is that crazy Yelp woman going on about you may say? Yelp Elite's invite to go along to the Dublin institution that is the Viking Splash Tour obvs!
'We laughed, smiled, waved and shook our fists all around the city. It
really was a hoot. To see the reaction of some of the celts (AAAARGH!!!)
as we drove past was priceless. From broad smiles, to bemusement, to
"what-the…", to pretending we were not there. Hilarious' It sure was Cristin L, it sure was!
If you have not been on the Viking Tour yet – what are ya at! Sarah T's done it three times now! 'This was my third time on the Viking Splash Tours but the fact that I've
had three different guides means I just can't get sick of it. It's
always more fun with a large crowd!'
Although
you do hear lots of interesting tidbits about our Fair City, this tour is just plain
ridiculous amounts of 'messing', and also proves a great reminder of the historical
parts of Dublin, from the secret river Poddle
to the Peppercan Church and the newer shinier Dublin Docklands – you
get a little of everything and many reminders of places to return to.
Some interesting facts that Donald P learnt along the way; 'Did you know that one of the oldest street in Dublin is called….New
Street? ..And Why the Spire wasn't built in Bertie Ahern's back garden?
Well, you have to take a tour to find out!'
As Gina L put it, 'this tour is good for the soul! A lot of laughter and yelling in a
'safe environment' (i.e. big yellow boat-ish thingie on wheels) never
hurt anyone!'
A fantastical, fun way of getting out and about Dublin with friends, colleagues, groups, or hell, random strangers. Thank you Viking Splash for arranging the tour – it was 10/10 ridiculous fun!
